HMI Admissions

Quarter Scheduling

HMI operates on a standard ten-week quarterly academic calendar with one additional week for examinations.
•    Fall Quarter is scheduled from early September until late November.
•    Winter Quarter starts early January and ends early March.
•    Spring Quarter begins mid March and ends early June.
•    Summer sessions are not running at this time.

Flexible Scheduling

HMI offers a flexible course schedule that provides students the opportunity to maintain employment and family obligations while pursuing their education.  The school operates on the Quarter system and in single blocks of time, thus meeting one time a week.  In addition to regular classes, HMI offers intensives, workshops, and internships to compliment and strengthen the educational experience. Most classes meet in the evenings during the week and some courses are offered during the day or on weekends.

Student Responsibility

It is the student’s responsibility to know and understand academic policies related to his or her program.  The student should be familiar with the information in the academic catalog, its listed procedures and deadlines.  The catalog is updated annually.  Students are encouraged to visit the Registrar the year before graduation to confirm the accuracy of their program and their plans for fulfilling graduation requirements.  This shall include requirements resulting from program modifications affecting course offerings as may be adopted by the faculty.

Application Requirements

HMI exists for the twofold mission of preparing leaders for ministry and to provide opportunities for spiritual enrichment for those who seek personal development.  All applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma.  Prospective students must complete an application for enrollment and turn it into the church office.  Applicants must pay a one time fee of $35.00 at the time of application.  After review of all applications, applicants will be notified of the Admissions Committee’s decision.

Students are accepted into HMI during any quarter period.   Students are accepted into HMI in the following pathways:
